- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆We've had mixed experiences at this bakery, so it's a bit of hit and miss. When it's good, it's delightful and worth the visit but when it's a miss it's a total disappointment. They often run out of pies, their cakes look far better than they taste and for a bakery café the service is often either chaotic or blasé. Having said that, the décor is wonderfully rustic and the atmosphere is great for a family outing. It's a very convenient Saturday or Sunday drive lunch spot. Plenty of parking and a gorgeous gift shop next door, so despite the hit and miss, every few months we give it another go .By Laura Hesketh, December 31, 2016
