  • Review of "Ted Schwebel Park" at Glenorie

    My dad's name is Ted Schwebel. We live in the United States and have nothing to do with this playground. We were pretty amazed when we discovered it on Google Maps since his name is so uncommon. I looked at the park on street view and noticed a rock below the park's sign and I thought it might be some sort of tribute to Ted Schwebel. I went on Instagram and asked some people who had posted pictures in the general area if they could go over to the park and take a picture of the rock. Within hours, multiple friendly people had responded and one of them went to the park, snapped the photo and emailed it to me. Sure enough, it is a tribute to Ted Schwebel as I suspected. The power of the internet is amazing, I was able to get help from these people on the other side of the world almost instantaneously. It's nice to know that there are so many friendly people out there willing to help just out of sheer kindness.
